Bloggers Gone Coastal was my first Brandcation trip, and I was really excited to be a part of it. I was really looking forward to meeting so many great bloggers, and I was excited to see the girls that I have met before. The beaches looked pretty good too!

I arrived in Pensacola, Florida for Brandcation on Friday, May 4th. Two of my blogger friends (Lisa and Deb) were on the same flight as me, and we met up with Toni at the airport, so the four of us had a chance to spend some time getting to know each other on our way to the Portofino Island Resort. Being a Northern girl, I am always in awe with palm trees and white sand, so I took some time to take in the beauty on our drive to the resort. There is a long bridge (I think they said 3 miles long?) that takes you to the island, and it was so beautiful to see the water and the boats…and then we got to the resort!

Isn’t it beautiful? I can still hardly believe I was there. The condos were spacious and comfortable. They were decorated very tastefully and the view was incredible.

When we ventured outside of our condos we found a large indoor pool and several outdoor pools to enjoy. We enjoyed some time on the pool deck for some food and drinks and we were brought chairs and umbrellas by some resort staff.

If you’re looking for a little relaxing, the Portofino Island Resort offers a spa as well, and if you’re looking for some fun you can head out to the water and have some fun here…

Do you see the Heron? It was beautiful to see herons and pelicans and dolphins in their natural habitat.

The staff at the Portofino Island Resort were amazing too. They were all very upbeat and personable. When we had limited time, they did what they could to get us what we needed quickly, and they were always smiling while they did it. When we had the time to chat, we learned that everyone who worked there really enjoyed their jobs and living in the area. When the staff are happy, it reflects on the guests!

A special thanks to Dunkin’ Donuts for providing us with bagels when we arrived at the Portofino Island Resort, and to Dole for leaving us fruit to snack on during our stay.
