Canada’s Wonderland is Canada’s largest theme park that has been thrilling families for 35 years. In the beginning visitors could face their fears on big wooden roller coasters and other exciting rides in the parks. Over the years the park has expanded to include a huge water park, children’s areas and more thrilling rides like the Leviathan, one of the tallest roller coasters in the world.


Throughout the years, Canada’s Wonderland has continually offered fabulous entertainment like the diving shows and the fireworks, as well as fun Peanuts shows for the kids. The Stars of the Peking Acrobats are fabulous, as are Craz-E-Crew Stunt Team. The Illumination of Water is a show you don’t want to miss in the evenings at the fountain shown below.

Rides and shows are not all you can find at Canada’s Wonderland. Foodies love it too! Funnel cakes have always been a fan favourite, and this year’s addition of Taste of Greece is sure to tempt your tastebuds!

From kebobs to feta cheese, Canada’s Wonderland is bringing the classic tastes of the Mediterranean to Action Zone! Enjoy a myriad of Greek dishes, music, and street entertainment. Taste of Greece will be held in Action Zone from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24. Entrance is FREE with Park admission, so visitors can enjoy everything that Wonderland has to offer.

Catering by Nikos, an authentic Greek catering company, will be preparing the delicious Greek menu that includes:

  • Tiropites and Spanakopita
  • Pita bread served with 4 traditional Greek Dips
  • Greek Salad
  • Grilled Vegetables
  • Saganaki
  • Chicken or Pork Souvlaki
  • Chicken Gyro
  • Greek Yoghurt
  • Baklava
  • Loukoumades

Taste of Greece also includes Greek entertainment! Ola Band will provide live music at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. both days. The authentic Greek band plays traditional and modern music from various regions in Greece.

The live dance troupe Levendia X Hellenic Folklore Association performs Saturday. They are an adult dance group that has been performing for 20 years.

On Sunday, guests can enjoy the Dance Groups of the Greek Community of Toronto performs Sunday. The group is comprised of 175 dancers ages 5-20, although only those ages 14-20 perform. The group itself has been around over 50 years and represents the Greek Community at large scale events across the GTA.


Grab the family, pack up your lucky fork and head to this summer because there is even more tasty fun on this year’s schedule.   1. Sounds like a fun event to attend, it has been years since I was last at Canada’s Wonderland. I am sure it has changed so much.

  5. Mmmmm I bet everything tastes awesome, but could be a little expensive, I found it very expensive when I went when I was a teenager so I can imagine what it is like now

  8. Been there in grade 8, sure like to go back as when one gets older appreciates Canada more! And love the touch of Greece, my mom use to work for a Greek Family Resturant, they where friendly and the food amazing!

  10. It’s about 14 years since I went to Wonderland with my 3 youngest, I think we could have spent our entire holidays there as far as they were concerned. 🙂
